Upgrades

To update your copy of Hire-Man software then just go to the help file in Hire-Man and choose
Download Service Release File
from any computer with a connection to the internet.

NB you might need to Download the ORT DownLoader   first. You will be told by Hire-Man if you require this first

To update other computers on your network once you have downloaded from your computer with the downloader just select the option
 Run service release file 
from the help file. You will need to do this on all other computers on your network.

NOTE: The current version of the ORT Downloader program does not support proxy servers

To find out what version you are currently using:

  1. Open your copy of Hire Man Pro
  2. Before you logon you will see the version number followed by the build number (just below the Hire Man eXP logo).

Upgrading without ORT Downloader

Order a CD

If you do not wish to avail of our free download service you can order a CD Direct from ORT Ltd. This CD will contain a copy of the latest Upgrade Service Release and All the latest Help Files.

NOTE: This CD is not the cost of an additional user to the system but only upgrades existing copies of hire-man to the latest vesion.

The Cost of this CD is:

  • €20 Per single CD ordered.
  • €6.50 for each additional CD with each order.

Modules

There are many updates, new features and bug fixes available to our users for free through our upgrade link above.

Also we have available several additional modules that enhance Hire-Man or allow integration to other systems. Currently the following modules are available:

Graphical Reporting Module: This reporting module, available since November 2001, expands the standard Hire-Man reports with a set of additional powerful graph reports. Click HERE for more details.

Archiving Module This module will be useful for larger customers who wish to archive contracts and invoices from the system. It removes the contracts from the list and puts them into an a new archive list where summary information can be viewed. Ensures that current contracts and unposted invoices are not posted. Currently available free with version 4!

Booking Module This module will allow you to make a pre-booking for items for a particular customer. The booking can then be transferred to a contract at a later stage. You can see at this stage if the stock is available. When creating a contract you will be advised if a booking already exists for the item you are adding to the contract.
